EXCALIBUR | 550 High Opacity Series, 1kg colors

Excalibur 550 High Opacity Series - highly opaque plastisol ink for screen printing, intended for direct printing on dark cotton fabrics. It can also be used for plastisol transfers.

For even better opacity, the screen-flash-screen technique can be used.

The consistency of the 550 series is similar to the 500 series, allowing printing with automatic carousels as well as manual work.

Composition:
Lead-free, phthalate-free plastisol inks

Curing:
160°C, minimum 15 seconds
Curing time always depends on the amount of ink used. Lighter prints and applications with a large amount of ink will require a longer curing time.

Screens:
For direct printing - 16T-122Tcm
For plastisol transfers - 32T-50Tcm

Recommended additives:
Series 500 is a very soft ink with a pleasant hand. To create even softer prints - similar to water-based ink prints - using Excalibur 502 or 501 reducer is recommended.
Reducer 502 provides lower opacity and a softer effect, but also reduces print elasticity.
Gelling reducer CR501 increases the amount of ink while reducing opacity. The soft hand effect will be similar to that of 502; however, reducer 501 can be used in unlimited quantities.
